Machakos Governor Dr Aflred Mutua has said that leaders who have been opposing his political ideologies are enemies of the people. Addressing residents of Kitui Rural constituency, Mutua noted that Ukambani has suffered for years in the hands of bad leaders and it is time to send them home.
The outspoken leader affirmed that he has the cry of his people at heart and he will not relent in their fight to liberate them from “slavery”.
"My desire is to liberate the region politically and economically. Those who are opposed to my crisscrossing of the region to sell my party's ideology are the biggest enemies of the people. Please ignore such characters," he said, as quoted by The Standard.
Mutua also warned the residents against voting for leaders who will end up hiding behind parliamentary privileges upon elections while the common mwananchi is suffering back at home.
"These leaders still want to be elected yet they only aspire to fill their stomachs while the rest of the people are sleeping hungry. They must be rejected," the governor said.
According to the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader, he has the desire to save his people from abject poverty as he argues that God does not want His people to suffer when he is the saviour.
"God does not want people to live in poverty and I want to be used by Him to end the suffering of our people", the governor said.
