Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has urged the ‘Mulembe’ nation to cast their votes for whichever candidate who will be picked to fly the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential ticket.
Nasa saw ODM leader Raila Odinga, Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC chief Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, come together to form the coalition.
The ODM deputy party leader alleged that those in the coalition who insisted they would bolt out if their party leader was not named flag bearer, were Jubilee moles.
“Nasa is a people’s movement whose main objective is to rescue Kenyans from the misrule by Jubilee. It is not about individuals,” said Oparanya.
Speaking in Malava constituency where he took the ODM campaigns, Oparanya reiterated that Nasa would only field one candidate for the presidential race while its affiliate parties would field candidates in all other elective seats across the country.
He further accused Jubilee government of sidelining Opposition areas on matters development projects. He noted Uhuru’s administration only commissioned street lights in regions represented by Jubilee legislators.
“Street lighting is a devolved function and I wonder who will be paying the bills since I know the programme is only meant to lure local to vote for Jubilee,” he said, Tuesday.
