Thang'wa said that Kabogo erred on Saturday by saying that old women are marrying young men in the area, an assertion he termed as baseless.

"Kabogo's utterances were in bad faith and not right at all to these women who are our mothers and sisters. We want him to apologise now," said Thang'wa.

The MCA, who is Kabogo's fiercest critic at the Kiambu County Assembly, added that Kabogo has been disrespecting him too by referring to him as a 'boy'.

"It is either he respects us or he won't get any respect in return," he said.

Thang'wa was speaking in Mitahato, Ngewa on Sunday when he was received by Kikuyu elders who promised to support him saying that he has done well in representing the area.

"He is our leader and we are behind him in all the things that he does on our behalf. We are even ready to support him for a higher office", said Njoroge Mwangi, one of the elders.
