Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament  (MP) Kalembe Ndile wants Cord leader Raila Odinga to apologise to the family of the late William Ole Ntimama for politicking during his burial on Wednesday.

Ndile says that Raila started a political debate during the burial despite the wishes of the family for politicians not to politic during the burial of the veteran politician.

Kalembe observes that the family had requested politicians attending the burial not to engage in political debates in honour of Ntimama.

“Raila is to blame for starting a political debate at the Ntimama burial and must apologise to the family,” he said during an interview on Radio Jambo on Thursday morning.

The former MP claimed that politicking at Ntimama’s burial was an embarrassment.

He said that Ntimama was a quite politician who did not engage in personal and selfish politics.

On Wednesday during the burial of Ntimama at his Mutonyi home in Narok, Cord leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta engaged in a heated political debate.

The politics took centre stage as the two leaders lectured each other.

Various leaders have criticised politicians for politicking at the burial claiming that it showed lack of respect to the family and the Maa community at large.
