Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong'are Okong'o has asked the former Law Society of Kenya chairman Okong'o Omogeni to apologise to Nyamirans for declaring himself "acting senator".
Speaking to this writer on the phone, Mong'are said its a mockery to the electorate by Omogeni for saying that the senatorial seat is vacant while they elected him (Mong'are) in a free and fair election process.
"How can you call over 2,000 votes a narrow margin. I was elected by the Nyamira electorate and declaring yourself acting senator is lack of respect to the post and the leader. This shows how poor you can lead given the opportunity, respect others and you will be respected," said Mong'are on Saturday.
On Friday during an event in Manga, Omogeni declared himself "acting senator" waiting for confirmation in next year's polls. He accused Mong'are of being a dormant senator.
