Speaking during a rally in Machakos and Tala towns yesterday, Mutua said his political opponents were afraid of his leadership that prioritizes development.

“Church elders have told me to forgive my detractors and that’s why I am offering Kalonzo this opportunity to apologise,” said Mutua.

Kalonzo last week alleged that Mutua was responsible for the missing of his Deputy Benard Kiala’s daughter, Kathleen Nduku who was later found at her boyfriend’s house in Kasarani, Mwiki.

Mutua also thanked those who stood by him during his failed impeachment bid while hitting out at top Wiper party leaders when he accused them of being behind the bid.

“They started fighting me the moment I was elected and they have not relented. I will not be intimidated by their schemes,” he said.

Mutua was accompanied by over 30 Members of County Assembly during the rally.
