This follows a botched DP Ruto’s visit to the retired President Daniel Moi's home.

Addressing the press in Eldoret town on Friday, Kositany said it was unfortunate that the Deputy President was denied an opportunity to meet Mzee Moi and blamed the incident on Senator Moi.

“What happened in Kabarak is shameful and against our Kalenjin traditions. As a community we always welcomed anyone who comes to visit someone,” he said.

“Gideon Moi and any other person involved in this unfortunate incident must apologize,” he added.

The MP who is a close ally of DP Ruto further said they will soon be meeting Kalenjin elders to discuss the way forward over the matter which has received mixed reactions from across the political ivied.

While a camp allied to the DP claimed he was deliberately denied a chance to meet Mzee Moi, another camp allied to Senator Moi insists that the second in command went to Kabarak unannounced.

Ruto on Thursday visited Mzee Moi’s Kabarak home in Nakuru County but did not meet him due to what was said that the retired President had a session with his doctor at the time the DP there.
