A family from Githioro in Githunguri, Kiambu County is appealing for divine intervention due to what they say are evil spirits coming in form of fires to ravage on them.
Eunice Wainaina whose family has allegedly fallen victim of the said spirits said that the fires have been burning clothes in wardrobes, food packets in cupboards, animal feeds, cushions to name but a few.
“Around ten fires do come vigorously and they have been burning our household items and our attempts to put them off are always futile,” Wainaina said.
Wainaina added that their several attempts to quell the situation by prayers had not helped the situation either.
"When we pray hard they move from here to my mother's homestead; when we pray at my mother's homestead they again shift to here,” she added.
She noted that the fires had disappeared for two weeks when they called for an interdenominational prayer but they resumed on New Year's Day.
Pastor Joel Kagua of Victors Ministry who led prayers in the homestead on Monday exuded confidence that there will be a breakthrough soon.
