Kilome Member of Parliament Regina Ndambuki has encouraged women across Machakos County to apply for the funds being dished out by the government to enhance their business ventures.
Speaking to women at Machakos town over the weekend, the MP said the government has channeled out enough funds for women empowerment.
Ndambuki intimated that applying for the funds will see women boost their living standards.
“Women should feel free, come forward and apply for the government funds,” she said.
The legislator further said that the government has put in place strategies that will improve the welfare of women.
She said that women are a key pillar to development and engaging them in the economy will boost production.
The MP said that she will spearhead policies that will fight for the rights of women.
On the same note, the lawmaker asked women to be on the frontline and apply for leadership positions.
She said women have been given opportunity by the constitution and that they should use it to better the society.
