Nyamira County Secretary Erick Onchana has tasked departmental heads to provide necessary documents to County Assembly Ad hock committee that is investigating absorption of 2016/17 allocations.
Last week, the County Assembly shot down supplementary budget on grounds that the executive was unable to account for this year's budgetary allocations.
The Assembly also questioned poor implementation of proposed projects, alleging that allocations had not been fully exhausted by relevant departments.
'The county needs supplementary budget and I have directed departmental chiefs to avail necessary documents to the assembly so that they absolve us of any misappropriations," he said.
"Most county projects could stall if the supplementary budget is not approved. I am appealing to the assembly committee to review the issue expeditiously to cub an impending financial crisis," he said.
Nyamira MCAs had also questioned a deficit of Sh60m in the county bursary allocations, prompting County Speaker Joash Nyamoko to call for a special sitting.
