Administration Police officers implicated in the shooting of two women at Daraja Mbili market in Kisii Town have been disarmed.

Confirming the disarmament, County Commissioner Kula Hache appealed to the public to return live bullets, magazines, spent cartridges and teargas canisters to aid in investigations

She said that investigations into the matter are ongoing to determine what transpired during the incident. 

Hache further refuted claims that the officers were affiliated to Deputy President Wiliam Ruto. 

She clarified that the incident happened three hours later after the DP had left the region. 

The killing of the two women sparked outrage among local residents who took to the streets for the part of the evening.
