The Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA) chairperson Steven Oundo wants the group included in resolving the IEBC stalemate.
Oundo reiterated that group's inclusion in the panel leading the negotiations was paramount in ensuring all stakeholders are represented.
He said it was important to hasten the process of reforming the electoral body in order to give ample time for preparations for next year's general election.
However, the chairman was quick to point out that they would not wish to see a complete overhaul of the electoral body, but rather just the removal of the said commissioners.
In addition, the body has proposed that President Uhuru Kenyatta through the National Parliament nominates two people, two others by the inter-faith organisations, and one person each by the Judicial Service Commission, the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission and Association of Professional Societies in East Africa respectively.
They also recommended that electoral reforms be undertaken at least two years prior to the elections with need to conduct proper civic and voter education.
Parliament is expected to approve a motion listing names of members of a joint select committee on the electoral agency.
The reform team is expected to come up with terms of reference before embarking on its work.
APSEA is a joint forum and umbrella body of professional associations and societies in Kenya bringing together professionals from all fields.
