Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has hinted that he may quit the Orange Democratic Party that is affiliated to the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy that sponsored him to parliament.
The MP said this on Sunday in his constituency during a funds drive in aid of a local Abagusii women enterprise group.
He said that it was almost impossible for him to continue serving a political outfit whose leaders are not interested in development but politicking.
“I want to belong to political party that is interested in elevating the lives of citizens. I think in future I will not belong to a group of politicians whose work is to make noise that is not beneficial to voters,’’ said the MP.
He further added that the coalition leaders were finding it hard to accept defeat, and instead trying to cause confusion among Kenyans concerning the Jubilee government’s performance, which he said was far beyond average.
He observed that members of the Abagusii community in Nakuru and other parts of the country were tired of supporting a failed political outfit, while continuously being locked out of government.
He also promised to mobilize the community to vote as a block and support a coalition that will be most popular.
“The Omugusii will not blindly support noisemakers. He will make a sound decision of being in the next government. I will ensure that happens,” said legislator.
