Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama who broke ranks with ODM leader Raila Odinga immediately after he was elected to Parliament in an Orange party ticket in 2013 says he is still a member of the party.
Arama who has been a notable 'rebel' from ODM says he is intending to defend his seat on a Jubilee Party ticket next year but for now, he is a still a supporter of the Raila-led party.
Speaking to the Standard, the lawmaker said he will not honor summons to appear before the party's disciplinary committee as he has not defected from the party.
"As far as am concerned, I am still a member of ODM until the expiry of my term in office next year," Arama told the Standard.
According to Arama, he has every right to be in ODM and the fact that he donates Sh20,000 for the party every month shows how much supportive he is to the outfit.
"What I have done is to express my desire to defend my seat on Jubilee Part ticket, otherwise, I am still an ODM member," he added.
