It has now been revealed that a section of members of county assembly from Nakuru County are plotting to impeach county assembly speaker Susan Kihika following last weeks debate in the house which lead to the adoption of a special report that recommended sacking of top county officials.
According to reliable sources who sought anonymity, a section of MCA’s allied to the county executive have been holding a series of meetings since last Wednesday to plan on how they will impeach Kihika over what they termed as her ‘dictatorial tendencies’.
It is being said that top officials from the county executive and two members of parliament from Nakuru County are behind the plot to impeach speaker Kihika.
Word has it that the county executive was not satisfied with the manner in which the speaker conducted the debate, which led to the adoption of the report that recommended the sacking of county secretary Joseph Motari among other top officials.
“Yes there is something being cooked and I can confirm two members of parliament and top county government officials have ganged up with a section of MCA’s to plan on how they can impeach the speaker and a lot of meetings are happening as we speak but time will tell,” said the source.
A source from the speaker’s office confirmed that they are aware of the evil plot but said that the devil will be defeated.
“The devil will be defeated that is all I can say,” said the source who sought anonymity.
