This is after DPP Keriako Tobiko ordered prosecution of the lawmaker for allegedly attacking an IEBC official during the repeat presidential polls held on Thursday.
Speaking at a Nairobi hotel led by Kigumo MP Ruth Wangari, they said the directive by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) that Wahome should be arrested shall be resisted.
According to the lawmakers, police should instead apprehend the returning officer for breaking the law.
“We have seen the police failing to fulfill their duties. We have seen the media failing to tell a true account of events. We have seen the 440 voters of the area have their voice silenced and we are here to say no more,’’ declared Wangari.
"If the DPP wants to arrest MP Wahome then he better come for all of us,” she added.
Boinnet had been ordered to probe the assault.
