Keroka Residents have urged traffic police officers to take action against careless motorists in order to end road carnage.
Led by Bonface Kocha, also a motorist they accused traffic police officers from taking bribes especially from drunk drivers which was a major cause of accidents in the region.
“Losing lives on roads will end if police officers will arrest and prosecute drunk drivers, unqualified drivers and those operating without licenses. The county and national governments should work closely to ensure road carnage ends in the region,” said Kocha.
Kocha added that action should be taken against motorists found operating illegally.
"Police should bar careless motorists who continously commit mistakes from using the roads inorder to save lives,” he said.
He urged drivers and motorbike riders to be disciplined and observe road rules for safety purposes.
This comes just a month after a Nyamira express bus roled and killed several people in Keroka.
