The Opposition leaders claim Ruto has persistently used the phrase “kukaranga mtu” (fry someone), during his political rallies.

Speaking at Busia Polytechnic, Cord leader Raila Odinga demanded an explanation why the Jubilee government was allegedly applying selective justice.

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama on his part said, “We want an explanation of what ‘kukaranga mtu’ (to fry someone) means, if it is not hate speech. We might be forced to ‘fry’ him first before he does it to us,” Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama said.

Muthama said only Raila can resolved historical injustices and political assassinations if elected President.

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed said DP Ruto and Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery organised the arrests and detention of eight MPs over hate speech.

Junet dismissed Ruto’s claims that those working with Raila are slaves.

“Ruto is the one using the Eurobond money to buy people purposely to destabilise the opposition,” he said.

Raila maintained that IEBC Commissioners must leave office for 2017 general election to be free and fair.

The leaders were speaking during thanksgiving prayers for Busia woman representative Florence Mutua on Monday.
