Speaking in Kiamwangi where five members of the same family who died in the accident were sent off, Nyokabi angrily spotted a hitch in the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and urged the officers to wake up from their deep slumber.

Gatheca who was joined by several MPs, chiefs, religious leaders and the public castigated the police service for laxity in searching the driver who is still underground.

‘We are living in an era where police service should digitize its services including the search of criminals in hideouts. We cannot allow wild death executors to go unpunished. I call upon inspector general of police Joseph Boinett to speed up the process of searching for the reckless lorry driver who cost all these lives,’ mournfully said Nyokabi

The family lost four of its members from the nasty accident while the fifth member died at the ICU after learning of the tragic news.

President Uhuru Kenyatta through a letter read by Nyokabi vowed to visit the family to condole it personally. He urged traffic police officers to be alert on the roads to avert more deaths.
