Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero wants Jubilee politicians involved in a gun drama last Sunday arrested.
Kidero, who spoke last Thursday in Dagoretti accused the Jubilee government of allowing ethnic division and violence.
He accused government officials of being reluctant to arrest politicians brandishing guns in public and being part of violence and chaotic behaviour in the city.
This comes after rowdy youth drew guns at a football match in Dagoretti where Nairobi senator Mike Sonko, Dagoretti South legislator Denis Waweru and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth attended.
Kidero called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to discipline their allies who cause chaos at public rallies.
“The President and his deputy, IG Boinnet and (Mr) Nkaissery have been quiet on last week’s drama, yet people drew guns in a crowd of innocent people…We also have guns but we don’t show them off and threaten people because that’s not the Nairobi we want,” he said.
