NASA Deputy President Kalonzo Musyoka has lashed at DP William Ruto and Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Coordination Board boss Fazul Mohammed for freezing his foundation’s I&M Bank accounts. According to Musyoka, the DP is the mind behind his miseries and he has asked them to arrest him instead of misusing state organs. The former Vice President said he will not be swayed by their threats.“They are threatening me and claiming that there is money laundering through this foundation. I want them to come and arrest me now,” Kalonzo said.The Wiper leader pointed an accusing finger at William Ruto and his close allies. He even warned that President Uhuru Kenyatta should avoid being part of the mess.''We know people who were driven by vendetta and it is number two and his people. I am not exonerating [President Uhuru Kenyatta] but I would be very surprised if he would besmirch a family,'' he said.Musyoka also questioned the timing of the directive terming it political. He accused the two of trying to deny Kenyans a chance to benefit from his long-lasting foundation."I want to ask the Coordination Board, to stop being used by some government people, to target me. My institution serves people from across the country, and it has been in operation for long. How can it be, that it's only now that they found out whatever they are saying? Their timing is very bad. Their timing is wrong- and we know them,'' said Musyoka.
