Jomvu MP Badi Twalib has dared Coast regional coordinator Nelson Marwa to arrest him for allegedly masterminding chaos that rocked the constituency during the ODM party nominations on Saturday. This comes after Marwa called for the arrest of Twalib and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s brother Said Abdallah, who is eying the Nyali Parliamentary seat over chaotic nominations. Twalib said he has not been in the country for 10 days, adding that he jetted back on Wednesday at 12 noon only to be accused of causing violence by Marwa. He displayed the exit and entry stamps on his passport as proof.Twalib, who was addressing journalists at Treasury Square in Mombasa on Wednesday, said he had traveled to the United States of America to attend a meeting organized by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. “I had been sent by the government of Kenya to the US on official duties,” said Badi, as quoted by The Star.Badi has also threatened to sue the regional coordinator for defamation.“If he does not show evidence that I was walking around with a machete, I will sue him for defamation,” said the MP. The legislator was in the company of Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, National Treasury CS Henry Rotich, Central Bank Governor Patrick Njoroge and other MPs during the US tour.
