In what seems to be a ‘contest of corruption kings’, Jubilee leaders have answered Raila Odinga over the Sh1 billion corruption scandal involving Kilifi governor Amason Kingi.

This comes barely a day after Raila seemingly backed Kingi by saying the audit report could not be relied on. Jubilee government leaders now want Raila and any other CORD member involved in corruption scandals arrested and prosecuted.

The leaders have labelled Raila a ‘confused, visionless thief’ who castigates government initiated projects to cover graft in CORD stronghold administrations.

Speaking at Kiganjo Polytechnic during a harambee to aid youth and women empowerment groups, the leaders called on Raila to clear the air on the Kilifi county government’s graft scandal.

Deputy president William Ruto who was the chief guest during the fundraiser reprimanded Raila for dismissing the benefits of the new water project, standard gauge railway and health equipment among other Jubilee projects.

“Only idiots could say Eurobond funds which we are using to electrify all homesteads countrywide was stolen. Kenya has a shortage of fools who want to be cheated on clear matters,” said Ruto.

He said that the opposition chief confirmed to the public that he is the type that cannot lead anyone. While urging all Kenyans to apply for identity cards and ultimately register as voters, the deputy president assured all aspirants under Jubilee party that next year’s primaries will be free and fair.

“Governors and MPs from CORD strongholds are stealing on your behalf,” Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa told Raila.

While pointing out that Raila is a double-speaker, Ichung’wa criticised Raila for continually derailing development in Jubilee administration by creating fear of theft.

The leaders urged EACC to walk the talk by prosecuting all individuals involved in corrupt activities.
