No amount of intimidation will stop the opposition from pursuing its goals, an opposition MP has said.
Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir said Friday's arrest of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Kisauni MP Rashid Bedzimba and him won't stop them from fighting for the interests of the people from Coast region.
The three were arrested on Friday when they went to Urban Police Station to seek for the release of Mr Joho's aide who they claimed was detained at the facility.
"No threat or intimidation from the current Government will stop us from pursuing justice for our people nor distract us from our cause," Nassir said shortly after they were released.
"Arrests are never a solution."
Nassir is Mr Joho's close political ally and the two are often seen together at public events.
Joho, on the other hand, is a close ally to ODM party leader Raila Odinga who is expected to challenge President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August presidential elections.
