A middle-aged man who is an Arsenal supporter from Suneka committed suicide Sunday after losing Sh10,000 bet when his team lost to Manchester City.

According to the uncle of the deceased, the family discovered the incident at 10 am on Monday when the man identified as Eric Mosioma failed to wake up and when the father went to his house he found his body dangling.

Wilfred Okioma an uncle said the man had left a small note indicating that he had lost his ten thousand shilling that he had borrowed from a local self-help group.

"We're saddened by the loss of our young man just because he lost his ten thousand shilling bet," said Okioma.

Arsenal lost on Sunday to Manchester city in a three one.
