A group of Kikuyu artists are out to campaign for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the repeat presidential poll due next month.

Under the leadership of popular musician Ben Githae of 'UhuRuto ndani ndaani' fame, the artists hope to convince Mt Kenya residents to come out in large numbers and vote for the Jubilee Party candidate.

"Our are telling Jubilee supporters to turn out to a possible 100%. They must send a message and confirm to the whole world that indeed President Uhuru had actually won August 8 General Election that was annulled by the Supreme Court," said Githae.

He said the artists, under 'Uhuru Ni Witu' (Uhuru Is Ours) caravan, are performing for free and their aim is to ensure a landslide victory for the incumbent Head of State.

"We aim at reaching every village to sensitise our people why they need to vote for Uhuru to the last person. This time around Raila (NASA candidate) will be defeated by over 3 million votes," he added.

Among the artists in the caravan include: Shiro wa GP, Samidol, Gachathi wa Thuo, Betty Bayo, MC Sir James, John Njagi, Wakabura Joseph among others.
