An Asian Community in Nakuru County on Thursday donated foodstuff to Ronda Ngambo residents.
Speaking at Barut shopping centre, Asian Community group leader Vidir Variturdr noted that most of the resident in the area do not have enough food to feed on.
"This people need food aid. I am urging well wishers and humanitarian groups to donate them food stuff,” said Variturdr.
Variturdr called on leaders to come up with permanent solution to avert hunger problems.
"We must find other solutions because we can not rely on relief food all years," said Variturdr.
The group promised to issue residents with drought resistance seed to help curb food shortage in the area.
More than hundred people benefited from the relief food which included, rice, flour, cooking oil, bread among others. The donation was worth Sh100,000
Area Chief, Samson Kiptoo, thanked the Asian community for their generosity urging other people to emulate them.
We are greateful for what our friend has done an to us. Would like to urge other Kenyans to support one another so as to build a better nation,” said Kiptoo.
