President Uhuru Kenyatta has criticised the NASA leaders for under-developing their regions when they were in power for many years.
Speaking in Kajiado, the president said Wiper leader Kalonzo was responsible for the poor living conditions in Ukambani while Raila was to blame for the deplorable life in Kibera where he served as Langata MP.
He said Kalonzo has no moral authority to stand before millions of Kenyans and make general promises "when he had failed to ensure his own home village gets water".
"What can Kalonzo deliver when we are the ones taking water to Tseikuru, his own home villages, where he was MP for many decades?" he asked.
About Raila, the president said Kibera was still lagging behind in terms of basic social amenities even after the NASA principal served as the area leader for over 20 years.
"We are issuing title deeds to the Nubians of Kibera after all those years," the President said.
"Why didn't he do something about the roads here in Kajiado when he was the minister of roads?" the President further asked.
