ASK branch chairman Eng. John Karanja said several access roads within the showground have been graded while the construction of two ultra modern ablution blocks is underway.

He said the move is intended to give the show a facelift considering the high number of exhibitors that have confirmed participation.

As of now a total of 121 exhibitors have confirmed participation and 18 of them are new. Karanja said the number is slightly higher than last year.

“The organising committee is working round the clock to ensure that the show becomes a success and gets even better than last year’s. I appeal to farmers to participate in large numbers by bringing their livestock for exhibition,’’ said Karanja.

The county government of Nakuru has also been challenged to sponsor at least 50 farmers per constituency for this years’ event.

The chairman further said they will use E-ticketing in order to maximise on gate collections.

“I want to confirm that on food selling, the Public Health Department has been incorporated in the organising committee in order to ensure that sanitation is observed owing to the recent cholera outbreak that claimed 17 lives in Nakuru County. The five-day event will end on July 4.
