Mvita parliamentary aspirant Omar Shallo has dismissed claims by Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and Kilifi's Amason Kingi that the Jubilee administration is riding on projects initiated by past regimes for votes.
Speaking on Monday, Shallo challenged the two governors to desist from misrepresenting facts about Jubilee projects in the Coast region, maintaining that the Uhuru - led government has initiated a lot of projeccts that cannot go unnoticed.
"It is wrong to have this impression that President Uhuru has been riding on county and donor-funded projects, there are so many development projects that have been initiated at the Coast by the President. We should stop propaganda that misleads Kenyans," he said.
Last week, the two governors took the President to task, asking him to single out any project initiated in the Coast by the Jubilee administration.
Omar Shallo seeks to unseat Abdulswamad Nassir who is the sitting member of parliament on a Jubilee Party ticket.
