A Lamu West parliamentary aspirant has explained to Coast residents why Jubilee leadership’s forays to the region should be ignored by electorates.Rishad Amana (ODM) said it will be a betrayal if the region’s residents vote for Jubilee in the upcoming August elections, The Star reports.He said Jubilee leadership was deliberately fighting coast leaders who were standing firm for the stability of Coast’s economy.“Coast people must be vigilant. It will be a big betrayal for Coast people to vote for Jubilee.”“From Diani to Lunga Lunga, what economy are we thriving on?” Amana said.Among critical issues, the aspiring MP banked on were the ban on night fishing in Lamu, poor roads and the plan to set up a dry port in Naivasha.He said that this was part of Jubilee’s scheme to kill the economy of the region.
