The 2016 KCPE candidates from every primary school in North Mugirango constituency have got every reason to smile after a parliamentary hopeful Henry Nyankabaria donated them with metal boxes as they prepare to join Form One in January.
The US-based Nyankabaria said the move will motivate poor and hard working students from the constituency to perform even better in their high school studies.
Speaking when he donated 500 boxes worth Sh600,000 to the students at Magwagwa market on Tuesday, Nyankabaria said education is key to a better future, and leaders should assist needy students to further their studies.
"My intention is to have a community that is free of illiteracy, we must give our children a future by building their foundation in advance," he said.
Nyankabaria has been providing boxes to best-performing students for the past three years and intends to extend the provision to more students and any needy cases.
