A city politician Linnet Miherane has warned the Jubilee Party against short-changing her in the race to be governor hopeful Peter Kenneth’s running mate.

Miherane threatened to mobilise her women supporters to strip naked if the position is given to someone else, the Nation has reported.

“I’m not fighting with anyone over this, if someone tries to step on me, we women shall strip naked,” said the politician.

She made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting between Kenneth and Jubilee aspirants in Nairobi County in Westlands.

The contest for the Nairobi County governor’s race has attracted several candidates as they seek to unseat the incumbent, Evans Kidero of ODM in this year’s general election slated for August 8.

Most of them are yet to unveil their running mates.

However, a recent opinion poll by Infotrak that was released early this week showed Governor Kidero still enjoys a popularity rating of 35.3 percent.

Senator  Sonko was rated second, while Kenneth came in third.
