Presidential hopeful Philip Murgor has said he is the best candidate to take power and lead Kenya after August 8 elections.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Citizen TV, Murgor said he believes he is the man to bring to and end corruption and tribalism in the country.
Murgor stated that the had never been involved in corruption or implicated in any corruption cases, adding that Kenyans can expect him to be a man of integrity.
“Kenya needs a candidate and president who can fix the issues of corruption and tribalism. I have never practiced tribalism and I have never engaged in corruption,” he said on Wednesday.
The former DPP warned that the country risks becoming a failed state if the two vices are not fully dealt with.
“One of the reasons I decided to vie for president is because we are staring at imminent failure of the country,” he noted.
Murgor accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto of 'creating' corruption in the country, saying they couldn’t be expected to fight the vice.
He said his bid had no backing of any ethnic group in the country, adding that he would form a government that would reflect the face of Kenya if elected as the Head of State in the forthcoming general elections.
