Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has left CORD leader Raila Odinga’s former aide Eliud Owalo a restless man after making a trip to Wajir with Rosemary Odinga.
Owalo, who has been accused of mismanaging Raila’s campaign during the last general election, is not a happy after warning Joho against endorsing Orange Democratic Movement’s candidate, only to see him with his greatest political opponent.
Raila's former campaign manager declared that he will be vying for the Kibra seat on an ODM ticket, which Raila’s daughter Rosemary is also eyeing.
During the Wajir trip, Joho and Rosemary Odinga managed to mobilize the Somali community to vote for the former prime minister in 2017.
Owalo’s panic became clear when he opted to write an open letter expressing his fear of being rigged out during party primaries.
Ms. Odinga's presence with Joho is not something Owalo cannot ignore considering the great influence of Raila in Kenyan politics and what Joho has been doing for the Orange Democratic.
According to many political analysts, it is high time Owalo ditched politics and tried something else because it will be an uphill task to defeat the daughter of the most influential leader in Africa.
