Photo/ the-star.co.keMombasa Women Representative Mishi Mboko has been put on the spot after being accused of bribery.This comes after Hamisi Domoko, who has declared interest in the Likoni parliamentary seat, accused Mboko of offering him money to convince him to shelve his ambition.Domoko claimed that Mboko offered him Sh48 million for him to drop out of the race in favour of her.Addressing journalists after attending a security meeting on Thursday, the aspirant faulted Mboko for using money meant for the common mwananchi to bribe him.He claimed that Mboko and her aides ferried the money to his home in sacks, adding that he could not accept it as it was dirty money.He added that he would not drop out of the race as he is determined to win on August 8, and transform the lives of Likoni residents.“It is true they came with the large sum of money to my home at around 8pm. It was Sh16 million in the first batch and 48 million the second time. I sent them back telling them this money belongs to Likoni residents,” said Domoko, as quoted by Baraka FM. Mboko, however, denied the claims arguing that Domoko is out to tarnish her good name.
