Seth Omao, a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda who recently asked Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire to relinquish his seat as ODM County chairman, said the project will enable more than 150 youths to earn income through fish rearing.

“As leaders, we embrace such kind of projects. There is rampant unemployment among the youths whose population is growing exponentially.  We have to find a way of fighting this vice in the name of poverty and this is the first step,” said Omao.

He noted that similar projects will be launched in several parts of the ward and the constituency at large, and urged youths to call for support for any developmental activity.

“Be sure that this is not the only place that will benefit. We have started outreach programmes as intellectuals of this place, hence all parts will be reached without prejudices,” he said.

He urged area leadership to desist from political intrigues and persistent rhetoric for the sake of developing the area, which he claimed has lagged behind in development.

“The problem with our county is political squabbles, corruption and nepotism. Time has come for us to bury the hatchet and work together,” added the youthful aspirant.

Nyaronge Youth group were the chief beneficiaries, and their chairperson, Jared Gwaro hailed the lecturer and urged all academicians to start investing in the youths for proper growth and prosperity on the nation.
