Speaking at a funeral at Kenyenya village, he said KNEC is to be held responsible for the cheating cases.

“They set the examination, they keep it, they give it to the students, they mark it and they cancel the examination results,” he said.

He argued that it is impossible for students to get the examination questions earlier before they sit for the examinations without cooperating with the KNEC officers.

Mogaka urged the examination body to put measures that ensure the examination questions are not leaked.

This comes after the release of 2014 KCSE last week by CS Jacob Kaimenyi.

Examination results of two national schools from Kisii region, Kisii High School and Nyabururu Girls’ school were withheld.

Also Nyakoiba Secondary School’s Kiswahili results were cancelled.

Interestingly, ‘Nyakoiba’ is a Kisii name meaning somebody who likes stealing.
