The Kisii County Assembly clerk James Nyaoga has denied claims that he has been fighting the Kisii County Assembly Speaker Kerosi Ondieki.
The Assembly clerk said that he has been working closely together with the Speaker, and they always been strategizing on how best they can deliver to the people of Kisii County.
“We have been consulting each other on how best we can deliver services to the people who are our employers,” said Nyaoga.
Speaking in his office, Nyaoga said that the speaker has never suspended him as earlier reported, saying that the Industrial court vindicated him of the allegations leveled against him on May 5, 2014.
He said that the speaker and his deputy assumed his roles even after he had resumed office against his advice, and signed letters of appointment, a move that saw the two over-employ staff at the county.
“When I resumed office, the speaker and my deputy assumed my roles. That is the time they over-employed staff with the latter signing appointment letters in disregard of my advice,” he said.
However, he said that the County Assembly Public Service Board convened a meeting, where members denied involvement in the hiring process.
