The attack at Wamaitha’s home involved four of her vehicles being burnt down by unknown assailants.

Wamaitha was speaking on Monday from her hospital bed at Naidu hospital in Thika town, where she has been receiving treatment. She however was quick to say that she does not take the matter as political as she has no grudge with anyone.

“For close to four months now, some people have been following me. There is a day that I even called the CID officers at night to my residence when there were people but they escaped,” said the Gatuanyaga MCA.

She added that the unknown people would come in to her homestead before the incident happened, park their vehicle for a while before leaving without saying a word.

“There were also suspicious people who were coming to my hotel to monitor the time I go home, others could come to my homestead and go without stealing anything. There was a woman who went and brought down my home gate and I reported to the police,” she added.

The minority leader has however indicated that she could be on her way to court to prosecute an unnamed person whom she says has been sending her abusive text messages. The said assailants who burnt her vehicles are yet to be identified and apprehended.
