Members of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly will on Wednesday resume sittings after adjourning for 8 days.

The adjournment was meant to enable ward representatives and other County Assembly staff to participate in the annual County Assembly Sports Association (CASA) games that were held in Machakos county.

The Assembly adjourned after it had approved all the County Executive nominees for the various departments that had been presented to them for vetting.

The CeC's are however yet to be sworn in so as to enable them officially assume their various positions.

As it resumes sittings, it's widely expected that a list of Chief Officers will be submitted to the Assembly for vetting and subsequent approval or rejection.

The County Public Service Board under the chairmanship of Joseph Tanui has already conducted interviews with shortlisted candidates and submitted to Governor Jackson Mandago three names in each position for nomination.
