The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu is on Thursday afternoon expected to resume sittings after an 8-day adjournment.

The assembly had to be adjourned almost immediately it resumed from a 10-day recess that was meant to allow members participate in repeat Presidential poll campaigns, this time round to allow members be part of the County Executive Committee members nominee's vetting exercise.

A report on the vetting of the CeCs nominated by governor Jackson Mandago is expected to be tabled once the Assembly resumes.

The Committee on appointment chaired by the Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat last week vetted the ten CeC nominees and retreated to draft a report that will determine whether they will be approved or rejected.

"We expect that by Thursday the report on this vetting process will be ready for tabling at the Assembly to allow members discuss it and approve or reject the nominees," Kiplagat said at the end of the vetting exercise.

Governor Mandago retained only two CeCs that he worked with under his first term in office.
