The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu will from Tuesday begin vetting the ten County Executive Committee members that were nominated by governor Jackson Mandago.

The vetting process will be done for three consecutive days by the Assembly's Committee on appointment chaired by the Speaker, David Kiplagat.

According to a schedule shared to the media by the Assembly's communication office, each of the CeCs will be vetted for one hour.

First to appear before the Committee on appointment will be Eng. Gideon Birir who has been nominated to retain the Roads, Transport and Public Works docket followed by former Uasin Gishu High School Principle Joseph Kurgat who is the Education department nominee and then Finance and Economic Planning CeC nominee Julius Ruto.

On Wednesday, four CeCs will be vetted who are Samwel Yego (Agriculture), Esther Mutai (Cooperatives), Barnabas Tarus (Devolution) and Dr. Emily Kogos (ICT and Trade). 

Eng. Nelson Maritim (Lands), Mary Njogu (Water and Environment) and Everlyne Rotich (Health Services) will be last ones to appear before the vetting committee on Thursday.

After the vetting process, the Committee will table its report before the Assembly for approval or rejection of the nominees before they are sworn in.
