Speaking to this writer on Monday morning in his office, Kiragu said investigations are on and those behind the murder of Joseph Nyabuti, a teacher at Egetuki Primary School would be apprehended once found.

According to Kiragu, the remains of the deceased were found a day after his disappearance some metres away from his homestead.

“The deceased is reported to have missed from his home on Tuesday last week. His remains were found at dawn of the following day just 100 metres from his home,” Kiragu said.

He added, “The body had deep cuts on the head. We still have not arrested the culprits, behind the murder but investigations are ongoing.”

Kiragu however, urged anybody with credible information about the murder to report to the authority.

“I welcome anyone with information about the killing of the teacher to present it to us. We will protect your identity,” added Kiragu.

Meanwhile, Egetuki assistant chief Jackline Nyamichaba, has urged residents to remain calm as the police conduct their investigations.
