Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Bandari FC has promoted its assistant coach Ken Odhiambo to the position of head coach following the dismissal of Ugandan tactician Paul Nkatah last week.Odhiambo who had prior to the appointment served as a caretaker coach was confirmed as the new head tactician and will be deputised by Nassor Mwakoba. The decision was reached at during a luncheon hosted by the management at a Mombasa hotel. The luncheon also marked the end the 2017 season, with the players breaking for the holidays. The changes were confirmed by Bandari vice chairman Musa Hassan and CEO Edward Oduor.Nkatah was shown the door following what many viewed as an underwhelming season by the Dockers despite investing heavily in the previous transfer window period.Bandari finished a distant tenth in the KPL this season bagging 43 points after 34 outings. The Coast-based side has been struggling up front and Odhiambo may have to hit the transfer market early enough to secure some of the best forwards in the Kenyan soccer industry.
