Recently, a section of Homa Bay leaders and politicians in support of UDM senatorial aspirant Philip Okundi openly and publicly lashed out at Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for handing ODM candidate Moses Kajwang a direct ticket, and endorsing him in Bondo in Siaya County during the funeral service of Raila Odinga’s eldest son Fidel Odinga and last week in Homa Bay.

Led by Rachuonyo Member of Parliament James Rege, the leaders opposed to ODM’s Moses Kajwang’s candidature hit out at the former premier, accusing him of denying democracy to prevail in ODM and imposing leaders on the people.

The Rachuonyo legislator went ahead to dare the ODM leader to expel him from the party, saying that the people of Rachuonyo will still elect him.

In a joint statement released to journalists at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports ground in Kisumu, the group, which compromised of the Kisumu Business Coalition, Kisumu City Residents Voice Association and the Kisumu Youth Bunge asked the party leadership to expel the Rachuonyo MP and his group to serve as an example to the rest.
