Addressing the media in his office, Terer said that as a neighbouring country, many Kenyans in Southern Sudan have been affected in different ways following the civil clashes which left more than 200 people dead and dozens of others injured after rival forces clashed in Juba.

"Particularly talking from Eldoret, we are certain that quite a number of drivers have been taking petroleum, foods and other products to Southern Sudan and its cities. These drivers mostly come from Eldoret and its environs," said Terer.

Although relative calm has returned to the oil-rich country, it is still fered that more clashes may again sprout owing to the hard stances President Salva Kiir and Vice President Riek Machar have taken.
