(Photo/Star.)At least 7 people who were traveling from Kisii town to Nyamira on Tuesday night sustained minor injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in lost control and collided with a probox car at Storm Bridge, few meters away from Kisii Main prison.
According to an eyewitness, the matatu driver lost control near RAM hospital before he collided with a probox car that was parked at a nearby car wash.
The witness said the there could be deaths if the matatu’s driver was careless.
“He tried where he could to save lives otherwise by now, residents could be mourning,” the witness said.
Residents who arrived at the scene of the accident rushed those who were injured to various hospitals within Kisii town for treatment.
Residents asked motorists to be more careful to avoid unnecessary accidents on roads.
“We don’t want to lose lives through accidents. Drivers and motorbike riders should drive safely on roads during this festive season,” said Michael Okari, a car wash attendant.
