The office of the Attorney General approved the registration of atheists in Kenya society, AIK.

While many have expressed their displeasure at the registration of an atheists group, this will go a long way to affirm that Kenya tolerates all religions in the spirit of the constitution which says that individuals have freedom of worship.

Individuals should be allowed to join any religion of their choice. Just like Christians are allowed to build churches and form unions and societies and Muslims are allowed to build mosques and form unions and societies, atheists should also be allowed to form unions and societies.

The same applies to other protestant churches. This is what is called religious tolerance where the state supports individual's choice of religion.

We have read about stories of religious extremists and the effects associated with it.

Such countries which practice religious extremists are always in constant religious war and conflicts and that is not what we want to see in Kenya.
