Kenya National Union of Teachers Secretary General Wilson Sossion says the Saturday attack on DP William Ruto’s Sugoi home was stage managed.
He further says the plan was orchestrated by Jubilee administration to seek sympathy votes from the larger Rift Valley region.
“He is the second in the line of throne and his house is the most guarded in the country. I even know that GSU officers man the place throughout the day,” he told Sotik residents on Sunday.
“To say that DP house was attacked is quite laughable. Jubilee has lost touch with people and these are just desperate attempts to hoodwink Rift Valley people to reelect Jubilee,” added the vocal unionist.
Police report indicated that an intruder and attacked a police officer manning the compound before managing to make his way through.
Although the assailant was later of killed by dreaded Recce squad, he is said to have held the homestead hostage for several hours.
Sossion is set to be nominated to parliament with ODM party having been put on top of nomination list ahead of August polls.
